LAMB CENTER FOR ARTS AND HEALING.
MATERIAL ACCESS
Access to art materials is limited and important in underserved communities. Lamb Arts provides free art materials to hundreds of community members each year so that they might continue their creative pursuits long after in-person programming is done.
Recent material kit programs have included:
Free Art Supply Boxes
Lamb Arts has converted abandoned newspaper boxes throughout our community into free art supply boxes.
Visit our most recent boxes outside the Hopewell Post Office at 2nd Ave and W Poythress St and the Save-A-Lot in Cavalier Square.
Checkout Art Kits at Hopewell Library
Lamb Arts Kits are now available for checkout at the Hopewell Library. These kits include everything you need to get creative while at home or out and about in the community. Kits include drawing, oil pastel, and watercolor materials.
Creative Cases
In partnership with various medical and social service organizations, Lamb Arts provides material kits to community members in need. Recent partners have included local nursing homes, The James House, and DaVita Dialysis.
Annual Valentine Making Kits
Each year, Lamb Arts makes hundreds of Valentine-making kits available throughout the community. Kits include everything you may need to create your own valentines from colorful paper to scissors and googly eyes.
Emergency Response
Lamb Arts provides prompts and materials to help get our community through hard times. Most notably, Lamb Arts distributed Distancing Kits to all Hopewell students receiving free lunch during the COVID-19 quarantine periods, as well as Welcoming Kits to the Afghan Refugees entering the United States through our local military base, Fort Gregg-Adams.
